Biography
After 25 years in communications, with the last ten focused on strategic
planning, Victoria Conner founded Strategic Vitality LLC in 2005. In 2006, her
work was featured in the annual conference programs of the Association for
Strategic Planning, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the California
Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) and the California Space
Authority (CSA). She recently completed service as project lead for development
of the California Space Enterprise Strategic Plan 2007-2010. On behalf of the
California Space Authority and the California Innovation Corridor, Conner
developed in 2005 a successful $15M U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) grant
proposal addressing regional workforce and economic competitiveness in response
to the President's American Competitiveness Initiative. She now serves on the
Leadership Team for the California Innovation Corridor initiative, working
directly with the U.S. Department of Labor and the California Labor and
Workforce Development Agency, executive directors and CEOs from California
community organizations, senior executives from industry and key education
policymakers, in addition to her ongoing strategic/collaborative planning and
project support for organizations.
Previous to establishing Strategic Vitality, Conner served as vice
president/chief program officer of the California Space Authority. She has had a
wealth of positions during her professional life: marketing director, public
relations director, personnel director, free-lance writer, gallery
owner/director and teacher. She has a bachelor of arts from California State
University, Fullerton and resides on the beautiful California central coast.
