Dean Chung

Dean Chung leads the firm's corporate strategy practice and is responsible for business management and practice development of the firm. Dean advises senior client executives on global strategic directions and market opportunities. His client work includes the evaluation of the business model viability of a healthcare venture for a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical company, the formulation of a growth strategy for a national coated paper company, the implementation of a corporate-wide strategic planning process for a financial services firm, as well as the planning and launching of a Far East strategy for a global shipping business.

Prior to joining the leadership team at SLC, Dean was Senior Director in charge of strategy and business development for Lucent Technologies, where he developed strategy for its services business ($3.5B) and key global strategic initiatives. Dean also founded and served as president of an Internet software development startup company, where he personally led its product development, marketing/sales alliances, and venture capital funding functions.

Dean Chung earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and his BA in Chemistry with Honors from Williams College.
