Biography

Stephen Haines

Stephen Haines is a CEO, entrepreneur, and strategist. He is also a facilitator and systems thinker as the CEO and founder of the Haines Centre for Strategic Management and its group of five business units in 1990. The Centre has Global Partners and offices in over 20 countries. Steve is a distinguished author and internationally recognized as the world leader in Strategic Management, powered by Systems Thinking and The Systems Thinking Approach®.

He has an M.S.A. in Organization Behavior with a minor in financial management from G Washington University. He has also completed his course work requirements and dissertation for an EdD in Management. He has over 30 years of executive experience leading planning, leadership, and change efforts in the U.S., Canada, and globally. Steve is a U.S. Naval Academy engineering graduate with the "Legendary Leadership Class of 1968" and is its class' VP. He flew Navy jets and was a shipboard officer in the US Navy, as well as president and part owner of University Associates Consulting and Training Services. He was also EVP at Imperial Corporation of America, SVP of Freddie Mac, and a member of eight top management teams in his career. He is in demand as a CEO keynote speaker and is a prolific author of over 16 books and an 11 Volume Strategic Management Series Library of over 7,000 original pages.
