Barron Evans
Global Customer Engagement Advisor
Eli Lilly

With 27 years in business strategy, global communications, market development, alliance building, product management, and organizational change, Barron Evans joined Eli Lilly & Company in 2011 as Advisor, Global Customer Engagement to lead Lilly's global Engagement capability development.

Barron's diverse background has enabled innovative approaches to client business challenges in the U.S., Canada, and in Western Europe, including enhanced marketing capabilities, more robust communications planning, optimized customer relationships, and improved organizational design -- benefiting companies across technology, travel & hospitality, telecom, pharmaceutical, energy, financial services, and entertainment sectors.

Barron's career began with 12 years at telecom regionals. Thereafter, he co-founded San Francisco based Change Management Systems, Inc., a business effectiveness consultancy for select public, small business, and not-for-profit organizations -- including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Public Service Company of Oklahoma, PrimeCO, and Project Head Start.

That work followed with Barron holding executive positions with Omnicom global advertising companies DDB/Belgium and Chicago, as well as Rapp Collins/Dallas; the Brussels based role assisted North American enterprises with European market entry, partner development, and public relations. Thereafter, Barron was recruited by Hallmark Business Expressions (relationship marketing subsidiary of Hallmark Cards) to lead Client Services and Channel Marketing.

Most recently at Merck, where he held positions as US Lead/Global Customer Engagement, Strategic Alliances Director/Customer Strategies & Solutions, and Consumer Director/Multi-channel Marketing, Barron now brings his passion and enthusiasm to Lilly.

Leveraging his career partnership experience, he co-founded the Chicago chapter of A.S.A.P. -- Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.

While bringing change and growth to his professional affiliations, Mr. Evans has been a recognized contributor in the not-for-profit Board and volunteerism arenas, benefiting organizations including:
